Julia KelsallUrgent Care Practitioner

My name is Julia and I am a paramedic practitioner. I have recently started working at Wokingham Medical Centre in the Acute Care Team. Before coming to work in Wokingham I worked at a GP surgery in Bracknell treating patients with minor illnesses, writing care plans and carrying out home visits. I started my career fixing helicopters in the Army as an engineer in the REME, I am still involved in the forces, now as a volunteer with the Army Cadet Force. I joined the ambulance service in 2005 when I left the Army, and at this point I moved to Bracknell. I studied first for my FdSc Paramedic Science and then my BSc Clinical Care. By the time I left the ambulance service to move into primary care I was a clinical mentor helping to train new paramedics. I have 7 year old son who keeps me very busy! However in my spare time I enjoy the outdoors- walking, camping and climbing and I also enjoy teaching first aid.
