Kate studied Social Care and Caring Services at Staffordshire University where she met her husband before starting a career flying with a well known airline.  After 12 years delivering customer service and dealing with different situations in the skies, Kate took a career break to concentrate on bringing up her three sons. Kate joined Rectory Road Surgery in 2011 to cover maternity leave for a receptionist, following this she moved to work with our community nurse who cares for our housebound patients with long term conditions. In 2013 Kate was successful in her application as Operations Manager and has a passion to work with the whole team to provide first class primary care to our patients. At home Kate lives with her husband and three sons. Kate enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. When time permits Kate likes to socialise with her friends and spend quality time with her family.
Shirley Templeton

Shirley TempletonCentral Administration Manager

Shirley joined Wokingham Medical Centre in March 2019 as the Central Administration Manager. Shirley bought with her a wealth of medical administrative experience having worked at Woodley Centre Surgery, Reading Walk-in Centre, Royal Berkshire Hospital and London Road Surgery. Shirley's interest in health and social care followed time as a Parent Co-ordinator for Project Alafia and Project Manager for The Carib Elderly Lunch Club. Shirley also dedicated several years volunteering whilst raising her young son to make and style wigs for patients who suffered thinning hair or hair loss as a result of illness. Shirley and her growing team of Administrators at Wokingham Medical Centre enjoy the challenge of providing streamlined effective Administration to patients, colleagues and outside agencies. Shirley is now a grandmother to two lovely lively little boys. Outside of work, Shirley delights in worldwide travel, spending time with family and has a fascination for genealogy, having traced back four generations of her family so far......
